SUSENAS and SERUTI Data Collection Quarter 1 2025: "Data Foundation for Quality Planning"

February 17, 2025 | BPS Activities

The National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti) are two strategic surveys carried out by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to provide accurate data to support national development policies. Susenas aims to collect household social and economic data, such as education level, health, consumption and welfare. This data serves as a basis for designing more inclusive and sustainable development policies, in line with international development goals. Meanwhile, Seruti focuses on collecting household economic data every quarter to monitor the dynamics of household economic conditions from time to time. This data is very important for understanding the development of sustainable community welfare.
In the first quarter of 2025, Susenas March and Seruti data collection was carried out in Mojokerto City from 8 to 27 February 2025. Data collection was carried out on a number of selected household samples. Field supervision is carried out strictly to ensure that all data collection procedures are carried out in accordance with applicable operational standards. The aim of this monitoring is to maintain the quality of the data produced so that it can provide a real picture of the social and economic conditions of the community in Mojokerto City.
It is hoped that the results of the March Susenas data collection will provide useful information for policy making regarding community welfare, while the Seruti results will become a basis for the government in formulating policies for developing community welfare. During the data collection process, no significant obstacles were found. Data collection activities are running according to the predetermined schedule, and coordination between field officers and supervisors is going well.
